Detailed instructions
Start by opening two tabs in your web browser:
- Pepperjam Ascend in one tab
- Affilimate's Performance overview in a second tab
Step 1: Find your API key and Website ID
After logging into the Pepperjam Ascend platform, go to Resources > API Keys.
Click the button labeled Generate New API Key.
This will create a new API Key for your account. You'll need to copy this into Affilimate's field called API Key.
Step 2: Find your Website ID
While you're already on the API Keys page, look for a six-digit number in the top-right corner of your screen next to your name.
That number is your website ID.
Step 3: Find your account currency
If you already know your Pepperjam account currency, skip this step.
If you don't already know what your account currency is, you can find it by opening your Profile Settings by clicking on your name in the top bar.
Scroll to the bottom of the page until you reach Payment Methods. You'll see your Pepperjam account currency there.
Fill all of these details into Affilimate.
How we report Pepperjam data
Pepperjam offers two different kinds of commission models: order-level and product-level.
In the case of order-level commissions, we will break out each product into its own transaction so that you can run reports on how many of that product you've sold. But the reported commission amount will be $0.00.
The commission for that order will instead be grouped into a separate Order transaction.
In the case of product-level commissions, each product will be listed as its own transaction with an accompanying commission.
While Pepperjam supports SKU-level reporting for commissions, not all advertisers have configured this integration. As such, we report as much data as possible depending on the advertiser.
How to add additional websites in Pepperjam
Tracking each website separately in Pepperjam helps you get clean and consistent reporting.
Here's how to add additional websites to your Pepperjam account:
Step 1. Go to your Account Settings
Log in to Pepperjam Ascend and click on your Name or Company Name in the top right corner.
Step 2. Add a new website
Scroll down until you see "Additional Websites". Click "Add Additional Site" and put in your website's URL.
Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page for the blue "Update" button.
After updating, you'll be able to scroll back up and see the ID for the new website you've added.
